Welcome to MOTL.com!
Who am I?
My name is Nick Charette I am 21 years old and I am from Glendale AZ. I come from a family of five, which includes my two awesome parents Jim and Tina who have been married for 25 years and still going strong, my younger brother Brandon who is 19, and my younger sister Ashley who is 14. I am so gratetful for their guidance and support. I am also in a relationship with my beautiful girlfriend Tori who you see in the picture above. I am currently the Student Ministries Pastor at a new church that was planted in the west valley called Emmaus Road. We have been meeting at the Rio Vista Community Center which is located off of Thunderbird just west of the Loop 101 and we are loving every minute of it! Before I became a pastor, I was a youth leader at Parkway Community Church in east Phoenix for about 4 1/2 years. There I was the head of the drama ministry and I was also in charge of our cell group ministry which was basically several small youth groups scattered throughout Phoenix. I am currently pursuing my degree at Western Bible College and I am trying to learn all I can during my time there. God has really changed my life in a very real way, and I have a burning passion inside me to see young people truly experience God the way I did not so many years ago! God has made me who I am, and he is what I live for! I look forward to meeting all of you!!! Hope to talk to you soon!
What is MOTL.com?
More Of The Lord.com or (MOTL.com) is a site I decided to create because this world desperately needs More Of The Lord. Statistically 98% of people in the U.S claim they believe in God, the majority of which will say they are Christian and sadly that is not the case. MOTL.com is about finding something to live for, more importantly "someone" to live for. His name is Jesus Christ and he died for YOU so that your sins would be forgiven.(Romans 5:8 NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Not only is the world lost, but at the same time so many "Christians" are not rising above the worlds standard as God has called us to do. Now I am the first to admit that I am not perfect, and this verse was an eye opener for me.The Bible tells us in (2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV)"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test?" We all have fallen short of God's glorious standard, (Romans 3:23 NIV) but God has called us to believe in his son Jesus, and believe that he died for our sins to save us from the consequence of our actions.(Romans 6:23)For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 10:9,10 NIV) says "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." It's as easy as that! so will you accept Jesus as your Lord and savior? It's all up to you. Please take the time to read the amazing stories that people have shared already...and please share YOUR testimonies on the (Whats your story?) page. Allow your awesome story to touch someone's life. I also have section for people to ask for advice or ask difficult questions on the (Ask me a question!) page, feel free to drop me a line;) So... Are you ready to experience More Of The Lord?
